Which Fluids Do I Need to Regularly Check?

There are plenty of fluids in your tractor that it needs to function properly. These include hydraulic fluid, engine oil, transmission fluid, and coolant. Each fluid is designed and manufactured to do its job specifically. They cannot be compromised. Make sure these fluids are checked regularly to keep your tractor well lubricated and operating.

Hydraulic Fluid

Hydraulic fluid is used to transfer power and heat in your tractor. It also aids in lubricating the components and preventing wear and tear as your tractor operates.

Transmission Fluid

When Should I Change My Oil?

It’s important to consult your tractor’s operator’s manual to ensure you have the right oil and change it at the right intervals. Most new tractors have an initial early-stage oil change. This is usually around 200 hours of operation. After that change, check the oil every 250 hours. Some oil can be used for up to 500 hours, but we always recommend erring on the side of caution. The longer the oil sits in your engine, the more contaminants it accumulates. Even if you don’t operate your tractor that much, you should still at least change your oil once a year. Changing your tractor’s oil removes:

Contaminants

Make sure to change your oil filter as well and add in the correct new oil your tractor needs at the proper levels.

When Should I Check My Coolant?
